A Basic Tutorial
So the project is coming along rather nicely no real major hiccups in development so far. I am lucky to be a most stable position by living cheaply with parents so I can work a good chunk of my day on Foxboy.
But getting to the actual Devlog the Tutorial is up and is the new level that pops up when hitting play, sadly its fairly short for now and dialogue less, the original world is accessed through the Dev Lv. button. The player movement code is 90% there for now and feels okay to me for now but any feedback will go a long way in helping me make the game more fun. That being said the next updates will probably be a quality improvement with things like better a Tutorial level background and art, UI art, Custom Foxboy art, and possibly an new and better name for the project (any comments will be taken into concertation).
And lastly I have some ideas for the future of the project. In order to make Foxboy feel different in a sea of platformers I am thinking of adding mounts that have different movement styles and ability's. The thought is through some means you can tame certain enemies and use them to access places that Foxboy couldn't alone, like a frog with a way larger jump, or gecko with a enhanced wall climb. Though i will like to say this is a barebones concept and i would love to hear your ideas in the comments.
Till next time, Sagasmith
